I don't know if this candle once smelled like pine and the scent has faded, but it definitely doesn't smell like pine to me. I don't smell much of anything other than wax.
But the candle is very nicely detailed and fairly realistic looking, and is a bright shade of red. I put mine on a little candle plate so any dripping wax won't mar the surface below.
